ALL THAT JALOUSIE JAZZ"

Travel Package in Honor of St. Lucia Jazz Fest 2000

In honor of this year's St. Lucia Jazz Festival 2000, Jalousie Resort & Spa St. Lucia has created a special "All That Jalousie Jazz" package. The festival features such music magnates as Gladys Knight, the Herbie Hancock Trio, and Monty Alexander, among others, and it runs May 11th through May 14th.

"The St. Lucia Jazzfest is a marvelous time to visit the island," said Rui Domingues, General Manager of Jalousie, "and in addition to the big names, some of the best music is performed by celebrated local musicians like Luther Francois, Barbara Cadet and Boo Hinkson."

The 114-room Jalousie Hilton Resort & Spa extends over 325 acres of emerald-green rainforest, which has been designated a rainforest nature sanctuary by the St. Lucia Naturalist's Society. Located near the charming fishing village of Soufriere, and at the foot of St. Lucia's signature Les Pitons, Jalousie offers one of the most dramatic and picturesque settings in the Caribbean. The 12 Sugar Mill Rooms are situated opposite the resort's secluded beach and near ruins of an 18th-century sugar mill. 65 Villas and 37 Villa Suites, each with a private plunge pool, are clustered on the lush rainforest hillside overlooking the bay. The resort features four dining venues located bay-, pool- and beach-side, and in the Great House. Cocktails are served against a backdrop of the magnificent Jalousie Bay sunset in The Great Room and The Palm Court.

Jalousie's spa features dramatic outdoor treatment areas, an Art Center, an expansive fitness center, and four tennis courts under the direction of tennis pro Vernon Lewis, ranked number one on the St. Lucia Davis Cup team. Other recreation facilities include a beach-side swimming pool, snorkeling, water skiing, windsurfing, Hobie Cats, jeep rentals, hiking, squash, basketball, racquetball and a 3-hole par-3 golf course. The

Learning Center, for children aged 5-17, offers information on volcanology, marine biology, and life in the rainforest.
