To commemorate this annual rite of spring, Carmel-by-the-Sea is offering a “Best Friends Shopping Package.” Effective now through November 1, this fun-filled shopping package features surprise discounts and gifts from a variety of stores.  The “Best Friends Shopping Package” is available exclusively at Carmel Plaza, a unique shopping center featuring a collection of 50 shops and restaurants surrounding a beautiful fountain in a courtyard setting and includes:
• A welcome gift and a $25 gift certificate from Saks Fifth Avenue • A special friendship card* valid at more than 30 boutiques, stores, restaurants and area attractions such as Imposters, Raffles, Herbal Apothecary, Plaza Cafe and Backstreet Bistro, the Monterey Bay Aquarium Store and more • A private wine or coffee reception hosted by Carmel Plaza (for groups of 25 or more)..just in case you have a lot of best friends. * Special cards may be obtained at the Plaza Office. Groups of 25 or more must call at least 48-hours in advance of arrival to arrange private reception. This is a great way to avoid the chaos of crowded malls and treat yourself and your girlfriends to a relaxed and unique shopping experience in Carmel-by-the-Sea. You'll find a fabulous selection of apparel, accessories and trinkets ranging from affordable to extravagant at Carmel's fabled shops and boutiques. I always stop in Gerry's to check out their sale rack and have found some terrific treasures on the 75% rack. The real Carmel shopping experience takes imagination.
