Buddy Bombard has been flying balloons for 28 years and 23 years ago he took some friends on a two-week tour of France. They explored Champagne, Burgundy and the Loire Valley with low level balloon flights visiting and dining with his many friends, each landing warranted champagne for all, a tradition which started with the first ever balloon flight in 1783. Buddy's first trip was a success, leading to the creation of The Bombard Society. June 1999 marked the Society's 10,000th balloon landing.
An inveterate traveler and bon vivant himself, Buddy Bombard has a taste for luxury which reflects in the choice of accommodations and gourmet fare, whether aloft or on the ground. You often dine in the castles or homes of his many friends.
