TRAVEL LIKE THE SETTLERS BY COVERED WAGONCovered Wagon Tours in Palm Springs Ever wonder what the early settlers experienced when traveling our unique desert terrain in mule driven covered wagons? Covered Wagon Tours gives you and your family an opportunity to really travel "off-road" and see what the Palm Springs Desert Resorts look like beyond the resorts and golf courses. Wagons meander through the beautiful 20,000-acre Coachella Valley Preserve and travel along the San Andreas Fault line for a look at how earthquakes have changed the face of the desert over the last 200 million years. Meanwhile, guides tell you all you need to know about the area's geology and the formation of a natural palm oasis. At the end of the tour, you and other wagon riders are treated to a good old-fashioned chuckwagon-style cookout and sing-along with live country music!
Essential Information: Tours last approximately two hours. All wagons feature padded seats, steps and handrails, pneumatic tires and encloseable covers. Group rates are available.
