Travel With a Purpose

Leave Your Mark on the World

Global Service Corps (GSC), a non-profit project of the internationally respected Earth Island Institute founded and headed by the noted environmentalist David Brower, will offer up to 75 Americans a travel adventure this fall and winter that's different from anything they've experienced before. These adventurers will travel with Global Service Corps to Costa Rica, Kenya or Thailand to live and work with the people of those countries, experiencing their culture at first hand and contributing importantly to their development.

Costa Rica

In Costa Rica, from November 5 through 21, and also during January and February, GSC travelers will support the efforts of community groups and local organizations that are conserving the environment, educating the community and practicing sustainable development. These travelers will assist on projects including rainforest conservation, sea turtle protection and sustainable agriculture.

Kenya

In Kenya, from November 23 through December 19, and again from January 11 through February 6, GSC participants will assist in the fight against HIV/AIDS by using education, the single most effective weapon available in Africa, to combat it. Thailand

Programs that allow the participants to contribute while they enjoy a totally different travel experience. Programs that they will recall with immense pleasure, long after ordinary travel has been forgotten.
