Second Annual Single Parent Travel Survey
GlobalBrenda Publishing is hosting their 2003 Single
Parent Travel Survey, accessible on the Single Parent Travel Network (SingleParentTravel.net).
GlobalBrenda Publishing’s first survey in 2001 was, without question,
instrumental in getting Beaches Resorts to eliminate their single supplement
and add additional programs for single parents. Within a month of Beaches
doing so, three other all-inclusive resorts followed suit: Franklyn D.
Resort, FDR Pebbles and Tamarjn Aruba Beach Resort Mega.
Beaches was so impressed with the results of our survey
last year that this year they are giving away a free trip to one of the
respondents.
GlobalBrenda Publishing hopes make further inroads in
the travel industry for single parents, but needs newer (and more) data.
GBP’s mission is to convince the travel industry that single parents are a
large and viable demographic to consider.

The Single Parent Travel Network
The Single Parent Travel Network is a Web site (
www.SingleParentTravel.net )
and newsletter devoted to single adults who travel with children, pre-school
to post-college. The community began with the inaugural newsletter published
February 2001 and now has almost 2,000 highly interactive single parents.
The Single Parent Travel Network is chock full of travel information
tailored specially to single parent families: destination recommendation,
tips and advice, entertaining articles, packing lists and documentation
information.
The network also hosts the only list of specials
designed for single parents. Specials must meet certain criteria in order to
be published: eliminated or reduced single supplement, kids discounts based
on one adult traveling, not two or situations where single parent families
can meet other single parent families, like a single parents' weekend.
GlobalBrenda Publishing
GlobalBrenda Publishing has one mission: Let the voice
of the non-traditional traveling family be heard! The independent
publisher’s first work, “The Single Parent Travel Handbook”—the first and
only book worldwide dedicated to traveling single parent families— and the
Single Parent Travel Network, a Web site (SingleParentTravel.net) and
accompanying newsletter, have been praised by both the media and their
readers. More information can be found on
www.GlobalBrenda.com.
