“Keep the Doctor Away”
at Vermont’s Inn at the Round Barn Farm

Vermont’s historic Round Barn Farm lies tucked away in the off-the-beaten-path ski village of Waitsfield and the picturesque Mad River Valley. Built in 1910 as a dairy barn in true Shaker style "so the Devil couldn't catch you in the corners”, it was renovated in 1988 as a wedding and cultural event venue, serving             as a four season vacation retreat for lovers of the arts, history, and the outdoors.

The original farmhouse, with its extended and attached carriage house, known as the Inn at the Round Barn Farm, is now a romantic 12-guestroom bed and breakfast listed on the National Historic Register. Each room is individually decorated, featuring original pine flooring, rich wallpapers and decorative accents. All of the rooms have private baths, cozy bathrobes, self controlled heating and air conditioning with stunning country-side views. The six luxury guest rooms also feature gas fireplaces, telephones, and a steam shower or oversized whirlpool tub.

The Round Barn Farm has been dubbed as "a Vermont leader in preventative health care." In keeping with that distinction, from now until May 15, the innkeepers invite you to enjoy the “Keep the Doctor Away” package. Let the Round Barn Farm and their attentive and nurturing staff treat you to a three-night getaway to relax, unwind, and recharge with overnight accommodations for three nights, an "apple a day", a "laughter is the best medicine" welcome gift, a one hour massage per person, and daily Vermont country breakfast and afternoon hor' d'oeuvres, tea & cookies.

The emphasis on good health isn’t restricted to the package. While at the Farm, you can swim laps in the Round Barn’s 60 foot lap pool and enjoy the five ponds, flower gardens, fields, meadows and woods while hiking the well-marked trails. And your spiritual health can’t help but be enhanced if you rise in time to view the “Sugarbush Pink”, a rich hue of rose, purple, gray and amber that softly cascades over the mountains in the early morning.
