Gay & Lesbian World Travel Expo
Featuring 100+ exhibitors, the 12th International Gay &
Lesbian World Travel Expo has expanded to seven cities nationwide next year.
"In today's very uncertain travel industry, gay tourism
is attracting attention as one of the most viable and resilient markets like
never before," said David Paisley, Production Manager at the Travel
Alternatives Group division of Community Marketing, Inc.
Exhibitors include welcoming destinations such as
Miami, Key West/Florida Keys, West Hollywood and Montréal, and international
tourism offices ranging from from Hong Kong to Berlin. Attendees may also
explore gay-specific vacation opportunities offered by DavidTours, RSVP and
PrideWorld, as well as other gay-friendly tour operators and local travel
agencies. Gay-friendly airlines, cruise lines, hotels, and rental car
companies round out the exciting "gay world tour."
"We're delighted. Our 2004 Expo series already
outdistances 2003, our very successful eleventh year," Paisley said, "Our
goal is to bring a rich, fun, educational opportunity to gay and lesbian
travelers, and give something back to our community every year." The Expo
series benefits the National AIDS/HIV Nightline. Admission is $5 and
includes a raffle ticket.
