rays. It is lightweight, yet strong and
durable, see-through and open knit for total breathability
creating cool comfort for the wearer. Solarveil blocks up to 95
percent of the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays, allowing the wearer to
stay safe in the sun for hours. Unlike sunscreens
that have to be applied repeatedly, Solarveil is

Laboratory tests have shown that a single layer of the Solarveil fabric blocks between 75% and 80% of
UVA and UVB rays and a double layer blocks 92% to 95%. The American Association of Textile
Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) and the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) specify the
testing process that simulates the sun�s intensity in Albuquerque, New Mexico at noon in July. Several of
the styles are designed with a double layer on the chest, shoulders and back, which are high exposure
areas.
