What every Cheater needs to know

edited by Madelyn Miller, the TravelLady

When former Governor of New York Eliot Spitzer admitted to cheating on his wife, people were shocked. Mostly about where the infidelity occurred: Washington's Mayflower Hotel, where Monica Lewinsky once publicly embraced President Clinton and where JFK's mistress Judith Campbell Exner used to shack up.

Forget the Mayfair

Not exactly a hotel for a discreet encounter (though, granted, much lovelier than the over lit Days Inn where Spitzer's successor, David Paterson, conducted his own dalliances). Concierge.com suggests these criteria for a perfect place to cheat.

How to Choose a Hotel for a Discreet Affair

The criteria:

1. a beautiful room to hide away in

2. a bed the size of a small country

3. a fantastic restaurant within room-service distance

4. above all, discretion.

Concierge.com gives these criteria as guidelines. But can you really imagine anyone asking a concierge for a good place to have an affair?

The big question is who DO you ask?

Madelyn Miller has a favorite place for an affair. But she'll never tell. Read her stories on www.travellady.com, www.carladynews.com, www.yogayaya.com, www.chocolateatlas.com, www.cocktailatlas.com, www.teaAtlas.com, and www.coffeeatlas.com
