We accept articles under the following terms:

1. Writer must own the rights to the submission. We can use previously published material if the writer owns rights.

After article is published on Travellady.com, writer can resell or reuse it in other publications. We only ask for one time rights. Writer retains the rights.

2. Our policy is to only accept articles from individuals without a vested interest in the subject.

If you write about the ten best chefs in the world, one of them cannot be your mother.

If you do freelance work or your company is on retainer for a property or destination, we cannot accept articles from you on those specific topics. (That is called an advertorial) If you are not sure, please tell us about the relationship. We almost always figure it out and that does not reflect well on you or your client.

3. Once you have submitted an article, it can only be removed or changed at the discretion of the TravelLady editorial board. If a destination asks for an annual update of festival details or price changes, there is a small fee for that.
