INSPIRATION
The Dolce alla Macedonia is no Sicilian pie but a divine
morsel from Aphrodite. Raspberry puree
is blended with Strega liqueur and sugar, then spread over the heart-shaped
pizza. It is baked in the wood-burning
pizza oven. While still warm, the pizza
is topped with strawberries, raspberries, peaches, kiwi and other fresh
fruits. White chocolate shavings, a
sprig of mint and a dusting of powdered sugar finish off this heart-shaped
treat. A generous scoop of homemade
vanilla ice cream hits the mark just like cupid’s arrow! The Dolce alla Macedonia will be offered at Arcodoro the
week of February 8-14. Rather than a
finale to a romantic dinner, it is likely to be the prelude to love’s sweet
