abound with family Easter packages
Hershey, Pennsylvania
is known the world over as The Sweetest
Place on Earth, and Easter weekend, Friday, April 21 through Sunday, April 23, is the
perfect weekend to hop on in. Both The
Hotel Hershey and The Hershey
Lodge and Convention Center are offering special family Easter getaway
packages, and the destination is bursting with activity. Other activities taking place during Easter weekend
include the Men’s Olympic Qualifying Soccer Tournament. Six international
teams, including the United States Team, will compete; the two top teams will
then travel to Sydney, Australia for the 2000 Summer Olympic Games. Tournament
play is scheduled for April 21, 23, 25, 28, and 30. Hersheypark will
open its gates Easter weekend for “Springtime in the Park,” a pay-as-you-go
weekend. Guests can enter Hersheypark
at no charge, and purchase tickets to ride the 36 select rides open for the
event. A
year-round destination, Hershey, PA was rated as a top family vacation spot by
both Smart Money and Family Fun magazines. Hershey is
in Central Pennsylvania, a mere 3 hours from New York City, 90 minutes from
Philadelphia and 2 hours from the Washington/Baltimore metro area. Easter
