MTV’S SPRING BREAK ‘99MTV Team for Mexican Spring Break Cruise Sailing from New OrleansFor the first time, MTV will be filming aboard a cruise ship and travelers will be partying with celebrities in the final Spring Break of the century. All activities on both land and sea during the cruise March 7-12 will be filmed and later seen on MTV. “The Enchanted Capri is a wonderful location for a party,” said company President Jim Sullivan. “She has a party every week on her normal two-night sailings from New Orleans and explores Mexico on her five-night cruises with three ports in five days. We are proud MTV chose to hold its inaugural spring break cruise on our newest ship.” A special pre-cruise event, featuring MTV talent, is planned aboard the Enchanted Capri prior to the ship’s departure from the Port of New Orleans on March 7. During the five-day cruise, MTV’s passengers will enjoy the nightlife of Cozumel, Mexico. They will then head for a major MTV party event on the sunny beaches of Cancun. The cruise will also feature behind-the-scenes shooting and a host of MTV events on board. Spring Break ’99 cruise prices start at $1,149 per person based on multiple occupancy cabins, but does not include airfare, port tax or gratuities.
