THE RHYTHM IS GOING TO GET YOU WITH THE RITMO CALIENTE DEL CARIBE ORCHESTRA Whether your language of choice is English, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese or French, you will soon be able to enjoy the Latin music of the Florida orchestra Ritmo Caliente Del Caribe on their multilingual Web site. This global effort to reach Latin music fans internationally, through the web, is the first of its kind for Florida bands.
Band leader and musician, Bobby Ramirez explained that their site was launched in 1996. "At the high rate that new technologies are evolving, 1996 seems like 30 years ago," he said. "Even today, their are very few salsa and/or merengue bands based in Florida with a web site." Ritmo Caliente Del Caribe is a unique band that mostly caters to onventions and corporate groups that visit Florida from all over the United States and abroad. A high energy 6-12 piece colorfully costumed Latin/tropical theme interactive show orchestra and Ritmo Dance Troupe perform the world famous "Miami Sound" music, as well as salsa, merengue, authentic Cuban music, top-40/dance and variety.
"From its lean beginnings three years ago my vision was to create a band that would have a "look" and "sound" representative of the area," says Ramirez. "When we're on stage, we always feel like we're doing more than performing music, we're representing South Florida - an area known throughout the world for its tropical weather and unique cultures. Hopefully, through our performance, convey a sense that South Florida is a fun place to visit and perhaps they'll tell their friends back home and return in the future.
Ritmo Caliente Del Caribe hopes to erase language barriers further by featuring different languages as they reach out to friends, out-of-town visitors and music fans around the world.
