WHISKY APPRECIATION DAY

Make a Weekend of it at the Old Course Hotel in Scotland

By Madelyn Miller

There are special days for Moms, Dads, and important events. Now you can celebrate something you really love and appreciate. And what better place to do it than at the Old Course Hotel in Scotland.

Lovers of the "water of life" can discover more about the world's greatest drink at a special Whisky Appreciation Day on Saturday, October 30th, 1999

Regis Lemaitre, an inimitable Frenchman and whisky aficionado, who is also manager of the Old Course Hotel's award winning Road Hole Bar, has organized an exclusive event in association with Whisky Magazine. Lemaitre has invited Charles MacLean to host the day that will be devoted to this magnificent beverage.  MacLean is editor of Whisky Magazine, chairs the Scotch Malt  Whisky Society's nosing panel, writes prolifically about whisky, and broadcasts  regularly on TV and radio.  With such essential reading as Malt Whisky and Scotch Whisky in his repertoire, MacLean brings passion, great warmth and wit to the enjoyment of whisky. All good things that whiskey brings to life.
