7th Annual Music Festival Set for June 26-29, 2003
From cool calypso to scintillating soca and reggae, to the soulful sounds of
jazz and blues, The St. Kitts International Music Festival is a four day
frenzy of the world s most acclaimed musical talent coming together for a
week of exciting entertainment, activities, beach parties, food fairs and
more.
This year s lineup promises to be one of the most
spectacular arrays of talent in the musical industry and include Grammy
award winner Shaggy, rap superstar DMX, Hip Hop diva Eve, and newcomer
singing sensation Ashanti top the line up. Other artists include On the
Wings of Love singing sensation Jeffrey Osbourne, Rock & Roll Hall of Famers,
Dennis Edwards & The Temptations Revue, and the Golden Voice of Soul himself
singing his #1 hit, When a Man Loves a Woman, Percy Sledge. Reggae stars
Sizzla and Elephant Man, and St. Kitts own Road March Champions Nu Vybes
International and the ever popular, Small Axe Band.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $25 per night
($30 at the door) or $90 for the season.
Past performers have included James Ingram, Chante
Moore, KC & JoJo, Hugh Masekela, Peabo Bryson, Chaka Khan, Bobby Caldwell,
Dru Hill, Yolanda Adams, CeCe Winans, Machel Montano, Square One, Dru Hill,
Beenie Man and Beres Hammond.
This year the St. Kitts Music Festival is sponsored by
