Cowboys to Invade Alaska

The luxurious Norwegian Sun Cruise Ship will be hosting a Cowboy Cruise to Alaska, August 10-17, 2003. The cruise will depart from Seattle with ports of call including Ketchikan, Skagway, Juneau, Victoria, British Columbia and a cruise through the magnificent Glacier Bay.

In addition to the entertainment already on board the ship, a spectacular entertainment schedule is set to include performances by some of the biggest names in Western Music heritage today. Performers include: Grammy-award winning recording artist Michael Martin Murphey, the #1 selling singer of cowboy music today; Western Music Association (WMA) Male Vocalist and Golden Boot Award winner R.W. Hampton; WMA Female Vocalist winner Belinda Gail; singer/songwriter Curly Musgrave; R.J. Vandygriff of “The Cowboy Ain’t Dead Yet”; and Cowboy Poet Jeff Anslinger.

While enjoying the majestic beauty of the mountains, glaciers and wildlife of Alaska, travelers will dine in Norwegian Sun’s magnificent gourmet restaurants as well as enjoy two complimentary cocktail parties presented by the Cowboy Cruise organizers as well as complimentary wine in each stateroom.

Norwegian Cruise offers more dining choices than any other ship in the world.  Try the Sushi Bar in the Asian restaurant or Teriyaki in the Teppanyahi Room.  From Soups to Soufflés, she offers every option under the sun – even a 24 hour hamburger stand and buffet.  Norwegian also offers its freestyle cruising plan to include flexible, open seating and dining, plus freestyle attire without dress codes.  Resort casual attire is as dressy as you’ll ever get.  Formal nights are optional.  Another freestyle feature is its Lifestyle Program, which offers Yoga, computer classes, health & wellness seminars and physically active shore excursions.

Splendid views of marine life can be seen on the many wonderful decks of the Norwegian Sun. Amenities include: a children’s playroom, basketball courts, a batting cage, shuffle board, casino, cigar bar, jogging track, entertainment, dancing, golf, a spa, two swimming pools and a fully equipped work out room that is open 24 hours a day.

Attractive prices for the seven day cruise begin at $905 (plus airfare) and special airfare rates will be available through ‘It’s Unique’ Travel Service.  All meals, taxes and gratuities are included.
