Sheep Shearing Day

How does the wool come off sheep? Find out at Petaluma
Adobe State Historic Park on Saturday, April 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The
park's famous adobe sheep will be losing their winter coats under the expert
guidance of shearer Judd Redden who will demonstrate past and present
methods of cutting wool during this Sheep Shearing Day special event.
Admission is $2 for adults 17 and older and free for children 16 and
under. The event is presented by California State Parks and the Sonoma State
Historic Park Association. The park is located at 3325 Adobe Road, Petaluma,
CA. 94954. (Directions: Follow State Historic Parks signs from Highways 101
and 116 to Casa Grande Road and Adobe Road. The park is located on Adobe
Road between Frates Road and Casa Grande Road.)
