Travel Pink to Hawaii’s Hilton and Join the Fight Against Breast Cancer
Edited by Jennifer L. Price
Following a successful debut last year, the Hilton Hawaiian
Village Beach Resort & Spa is once again encouraging guests to travel pink to
join the fight against breast cancer and support Susan G. Komen for the Cure
with a special room package and exclusive amenity.
The Hilton Hawaiian Village's Travel Pink package begins at
$239* per night, plus tax and is available for stays from September 1 to
December 20, 2007. A minimum three-night stay is required and the package is
based on space availability.
Because
studies show that women who engage in regular physical activity have an
approximately 20 percent lower risk of the disease compared to inactive women,
the Hilton is offering an exclusive package amenity that encourages a more
active lifestyle. The amenity is a black sports bag with a custom-designed pink
breast cancer ribbon imprint; inside the bag are: a floral pink breast cancer
cloisonné pin; a "Support Breast Cancer Research" bracelet; a pop open lid
polycarbonate sports bottle; Mandara Spa bath salts and oatmeal soap; Mandara
Spa $20 discount coupon on spa treatments at Mandara Spa at Hilton Hawaiian
Village; Tori Richard $25 discount coupon on regular price merchandise at Tori
Richard stores in Hawaii; a certificate for a 20% discount at The Rainbow Lanai
Restaurant at Hilton Hawaiian Village. (The 18" x 12.5" x 10" sports bag and
all of the amenities represent a $75 value).
Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa is Waikiki's
only self-contained destination resort. A vacationer, business traveler or
conventioneer finds everything necessary for a visit to paradise, yet also is
within walking distance of everything Waikiki offers. The resort spans 22 acres,
offering the widest stretch of beach on Waikiki, a beachfront lagoon,
waterfalls, five pools, gardens, an exquisite art collection and exotic
wildlife, as well as nightly entertainment including the King's Jubilee every
Friday, a Hawaiian music and dance celebration that ends with a brilliant
fireworks display on the beach. Kalia Tower has a variety of shops to choose
from. In addition to Kalia Tower's attractions, the Village also boasts more
than 90 shops and Holistica Hawaii Preventive Medicine. The finest dining,
shopping and entertainment center on Waikiki's best beach, the Village features
more than 20 restaurants and lounges, with fine cuisine ranging from Italian to
Asian to traditional steak and seafood menus.
Room reservations can be made by calling the resort
directly at (808) 949-4321 or call toll-free at 1-800-HILTONS (1-800-445-8667)
and asking for rate code "PO." Or visit

Hilton Hawaiian Village's Travel Pink package is a part of
the Travel Pink, Travel Oahu initiative sponsored by the Oahu Visitors
Bureau. Member organizations are partnering with the Susan G. Komen for the
Cure Hawaii to raise funds to aid in breast cancer research, education and
treatment. More than 2.3 million women in the U.S. have survived breast cancer
or are living with breast cancer today. Although the numbers of breast cancer
diagnoses have increased, the overall breast cancer death rate has significantly
dropped since the early 1990s. Advances in detection, diagnosis and treatment
have made an impact… but prevention is the key in battling the second-leading
cause of cancer-related death in women.
