I am sure that all Dallas contemporary dance lovers are as thrilled as I am. The 2003-2004 TITAS Dance Season presents the avant-garde BILL T. JONES/ARNIE ZANE DANCE COMPANY on Friday & Saturday, February 13 & 14 at 8:00 PM at SMU's McFarlin Auditorium. The company is celebrating it's 20th Anniversary and their TITAS performance will be their only Texas stop on their current tour.
The company has received many awards, including New York Dance and Performance Awards, aka "Bessies". It was nominated in 1999 for the Laurence Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dance. I have my movie buddies, my restaurant dining pals, and
a dance lover to enjoy all the different favorite things in my life. And
when it comes to dance, BILL T. JONES AND ARNIE ZANE DANCE COMPANY are the
pinnacle for me. I can’t stop applauding whenever I am lucky enough to see
them. So it seems somehow almost romantic that they are performing in Dallas
for Valentine’s weekend.
Choreographer Bill T. Jones challenges usual aesthetic
models of dance and brings clichés to an end. He preserves and develops an
odd and original language, while integrating other artistic disciplines such
as literature, new media and fine arts into his pieces. "The multi-layered,
disarmingly accessible performances confirm Jones as a master maker and the

Founded in 1982, the eleven-member ensemble has performed its ever-enlarging
