Fortunately, I usually don’t have to travel to far to get one, because over the years I have learned that DOUBLETREE HOTELS serve their guests the best chocolate chip cookies in the world.
I am a self-proclaimed expert on chocolate chip cookies. When I was restaurant reviewer for the MET MAGAZINE in Dallas years ago, I created a research project for myself---find the best chocolate chip cookie in Dallas. It was one of my favorite career opportunities. And when I realized my favorite cookies were available at DOUBLETREE HOTELS all over the world, I was in heaven. (actually, I was motivated to travel more) Recently, I moved and am a bit farther away from my local Doubletree. I have to drive a bit out of the way to get them. Fortunately, or unfortunately, I just learned you can get them by mail order. So if you don’t have time to visit a Doubletree Hotel, you can enjoy the cookies in the privacy of your own home. Every Doubletree chocolate chip cookie is baked fresh daily at each property. Each cookie weighs a hearty 2 ½ ounces and has an average of 20 chocolate chips. The Christie Cookie Company uses more than 580,000 pounds of chocolate chips each year for Doubletree’s cookies. In June 2002, Doubletree gave its 100,000,000th cookie!
