Saturday starts early with a healthy breakfast served at 7:30 a.m., in the Spa’s Tranquility Room, followed by Yoga for Ya Yas at 8:30 a.m. led by the Spa’s Jane Fijak. Attendees will experience the balance of mind, body and spirit…and for yoga neophytes, Eaglewood will provide an environment of balance as you take your body and mind to new levels. The remainder of Saturday progresses as follows: 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. -- Trendy Truck Show with Sue Diaferia, from Weekenders. Weekenders feature a fashion show with exciting new fabric trends. Escape the winter doldrums when you experience a Girl’s
Only Weekend either February 17 & 18 or March 10 & 11, at Eaglewood Resort &
Spa. Bring along your closest “sister friends” and make it a priority to make
time for yourself as you jump start your life in 2006. This two day, one night
package is priced at $229 single or $392 double.
Check
in early on Friday and from 3 p.m. - 5p.m., enjoy spa treatments booked in
advance or spend some quiet time in the privacy of your luxurious guestroom away
from the kids and the dog, doing absolutely “nothing” but controlling the remote
for once! Upon check in, you will also receive an Eaglewood amenity bag
filled with all sorts of goodies including spa samples, notebook folder and pen
to jot down great ideas, snacks, bottled water and a host of certificates from
the weekend’s presenters.
Friday evening at 7 p.m., enjoy a delicious meal prepared
by Eaglewood’s Chef John Billings, designed to help you eat healthy and let
someone else do the cooking for once.
Top
off the evening by watching a “Chick Flick”, while enjoying “girlie” drinks and
buckets of popcorn in a suite, while enjoying martini mixing lessons
during intermission. Don’t forget to wear your sweat pants for lounging!
11 a.m. - 12 p.m. -- Creative Color - Are you a make-up
junkie? Drawers full of make-up...half-used, never used and full of bacteria
that can be extremely harmful to your skin? Journey into the world of mineral
make-up...a product so pure that it will revitalize and repair the skin, giving
you a healthier and youthful glow. Our consultants from The Spa will take you
through each step....product knowledge, color selection, application and
maintenance. Give us one hour and we will give you a lifetime of healthy, more
radiant skin.
1 p.m. - 2 p.m. - Jinx the Junk with Christine Bowman, a
Senior Organizer with Chaos to Order. Learn about time savers, ideas for staying
on top of a busy schedule, organizing tools you can't live without, and how to
weed out and find a place for everything in your home or office. This course
will provide you with tips for decluttering your life and motivate you to get
and stay organized.
2 p.m. - 3 p.m. - Inside designer secrets to create a
beautiful home with Redefine Design’s Sherry Hill Trotta. Sherry has more than
two decades of experience in interior decorating, and brings retail, real estate
and individual design expertise to her practice. Sherry guides homeowners
redesigning a home for their own pleasure or as they ready for sale, all
focusing on items that they already have in their homes. Sherry and team also
provide guidance on sourcing paint, accessories and furniture that complement a
homeowner’s existing home and furnishings, as well. Whether designing for
homeowners or staging for sale, Sherry’s motto, “love your home with what you
own” is personified in each of the hundreds of homes she has worked on over the
past two decades.
The
weekend concludes with pre-arranged spa treatments, followed by a Farewell
Reception at 7 p.m., making it perfect timing for returning home to tuck the
kids into bed. Additional Saturday night stays are available for $89, per
night.
