Ride ‘em Cowboy!

Runamuk Benefit Trail Ride

Shine up yer spurs and dust off yer chaps, it's that time again! You got it...the 3rd Annual Runamuk Benefit Trail Ride, located at Runamuk Guest Ranch in Roundup, Montana.  The date is June 24, 2006, and will feature an enjoyable 15 mile trail ride, food galore, a barn dance and just a whole lotta fun!

Enjoy an afternoon riding horseback or sitting comfortably in a horse-drawn wagon.  While on the trail you’ll see the glorious vistas of the Bull Mountains.  This enjoyable adventure leads you through timbered trails, open meadows and over sandstone rimrock.  At the half-way point, you can tie your horse up and enjoy local "ranch-raised beef barbecued burgers" complete with all the fixin's!  Yum!  Afterward, meander your way back to the ranch with more fantastic views and a gander at a homestead cabin.

Once back at the ranch, relax before dinner while you kick back and enjoy a wine social and live Bluegrass music provided by “Highway 302”.  This year, the dinner menu features a fantastic pig roast.  Can’t you just smell it now!   But don't leave yet!  There's a barn dance to top off your night!

Come join the fun, which promises to provide a great time for all ages.  Pitch a tent or contact Roundup Motels for room or cabin rentals.  You can bring your own horse, or arrange to ride a well-trained ranch horse. Either way, you’ll enjoy these awesome Montana trails.  Horse boarding is available for a reasonable fee. Also equine massage is performed throughout the day by appointment.

Recommended donations are $20 for the trail ride and $35 for the dinner, wine social, and dance...however, any donation amount is welcomed.   Please pre-register by June 19, 2006.

Proceeds benefit The Chase Hawks Memorial Association's Community Crisis
Fund. The Chase Hawks Memorial Association is a Montana based non-profit corporation raising money in Montana, Wyoming and the Dakotas to disburse to families in crisis. This Association awards grants as well as organizing volunteer efforts and labor.  It also co-sponsors fund-raising benefits for families facing crisis situations that fall outside traditional sources of aid.  Funds are distributed on a non-discrimination basis.

The Association has become a viable source of help for families needing short-term assistance or help with travel, facilities and local benefits that are not addressed by larger charities or insurance because of immediacy or circumstances. The Association has been able to effectively pull together volunteer efforts from the community at large and provide media focus and corporate cooperation at an unprecedented level. This is primarily due to the universal appeal of a community crisis fund and the fact that the organization is an all volunteer effort.
