Valentine’s Day in Virginia is for Lovers

The well-known “Virginia is for Lovers” slogan debuted in
1969, but the message is still true today—especially this Valentine’s Day when
several of Virginia’s hotel, inns, and bed and breakfasts are offering special
packages. Some of your options include:
The Mountain Rose Inn, recently voted the Most Romantic Bed
& Breakfast in the Roanoke, VA area. The two-night package there would include
lodging, a four-course breakfast each day, a bottle of wine, half a dozen red
roses, and a box of chocolates and is priced at $275.

The Hotel Roanoke is offering a special cooking class
where couples create a fabulous five-course meal together. The cooking
class, plus one night in a deluxe guest room, a private dinner featuring
wine tasting with Chateau Morisette, entertainment, breakfast, recipe book
and a monogrammed Hotel Roanoke apron is being offered February 10th-11th
for $579 per couple.

For those looking for the shore, the Cape Charles House
is offering a romantic weekend between February 9th-18th. This package
includes a two-night stay, a five-course dinner, full gourmet breakfast each
morning, and a bottle of champagne upon arrival. Prices range between
$410-$570 per couple.

At the Tides Inn, located on the quiet waters of
Carters Creek and the Rappahannock River, a Suite Romance Package includes a
suite for two, dinner for two, breakfast, and champagne for arrival. All
for just $280-$300 per night between February 13th and March.

In Marion, Virginia, The General Francis Marion Hotel
and the well-known Lincoln Theater are working together for a package you
won’t forget. The package includes two tickets to “Some Enchanted Evening”,
a musical review of Rodgers and Hammerstein favorites, overnight lodging,
