Texas Hill Country Wine and Food Festival Presents Latin Sizzles

This delicious celebration of our neighbors to the south will delight all senses with exotic flavors and libations from various Latin American cuisines. Enjoy tropical rhythms and melodies of Austin's Seu Jacinto, which plays traditional regional music forms of Northeastern Brazilian. This sizzling event will be held at the TDS exotic game ranch, just south of Austin, on Thursday, March 29, 2007 from 6-9pm. Tickets cost $75 which includes food and beverage tasting.

Representing the best in Texas Latin cuisine will be Casa Brasil, Doņa Emilia's South American Bar & Grill, El Chile, Oaxacan Tamaleo, Tacodeli and Vivo from Austin; Hugo's from Houston, and Via Real Restaurant from Fort Worth.

Special guest chefs include native San Antonian Jesse Perez of Nava in Atlanta, Georgia, Diana Barrios Trevino of Los Barrios from San Antonio and Aaron Sanchez of Paladar in New York City.

South American wineries will have a special place at this event alongside fine Texas and California wines as well as spirits. You'll be able to sample Santa Rita from Chile and Bodegas Catena Zapata and Sol Alto from Argentina.

This event is hosted and supported by Texas Disposal Systems, Don Hewlett Buick Chevrolet, and Austin Woman Magazine. The Festival's 2007 Presenting Sponsor is Central Market.
