Rendezvous for Two

The Omni Parker House - Boston

Valentine's Day—the most romantic time of the year—takes place at a time when most people are shoveling snow, slipping on ice and hiding beneath hats. Fortunately, the Omni Parker House, the historic hotel where John F. Kennedy proposed to Jacqueline Bouvier, offers a special "Rendezvous for Two" package for couples looking to warm up and experience a romantic getaway. To really get the sparks flying, couples can also take their lover by the hand on a leisurely stroll through the city or on a carriage ride through Boston Common, located across the street from the Hotel.

The package includes overnight deluxe accommodations for two, breakfast for two in bed or at Parker's restaurant and late checkout up to 5:00 PM upon request. Too much is never enough at the Omni Parker House, to set a romantic mood couples also receive a red rose, tips on a "dozen ways to make your rendezvous more romantic" and a dedicated "Romance Concierge" to assist with any "special requests." Room prices start at $219 per night for a Deluxe Room and $269 per night for a Suite.

The Omni Parker House, America's longest continuously operating hotel, is located along the Freedom Trail in the heart of Boston. The hotel recently completed a three -year, $70 million restoration that upgraded its 551 rooms and added state-of-the-art services while restoring the original ornate features built by master 19th century craftsmen. Also included in the restoration was the historic Last Hurrah bar, for more than a century the meeting place of Boston and state political leaders. The bar is named for Edwin O'Connor's 1956 novel, The Last Hurrah, a fictional account of the life of legendary Boston Mayor, and frequent Parker House visitor, James Michael Curley. Omni Hotels has been ranked the company "Highest in Guest Satisfaction Among Upscale Chains" by J.D. Power and Associates in its 2000 hotel guest satisfaction study. The chain scored especially high in food and beverage, guest rooms and hotel services such as security, wake up calls and other guest related functions.
