How to Stay in Touch

By Madelyn Miller

Cobra's two-way radio Cell phones are great. But the more you use them, the more you pay. I've discovered that a two-way radio is sometimes the best way to stay in touch. I've used it when I was in New York in line for discount theatre tickets and discovered that the show we wanted to see was sold out. A quick call with no roaming charges to my husband who was shopping nearby made the decision for a replacement easy. Another time I used it when shopping in a large discount mall with my best shopping buddy, Rochelle Brown. We were in different stores when I spotted a bargain she had to see. A quick call on the Cobra two-way radio made an instant sale for her--and no cost to me. When these really come in handy is for outdoor adventures. The phone has weather channels and even a weather alert. I always called these things "walkie-talkies." The new politically correct term is FRS (Family radio services) This unit by Cobra is so classy, it comes in two colors. At $99.95 per unit, just compute how quickly it pays for itself in cell phone minutes you do not use.
