Getting to "I Will" in Asia

The Best Places in the World to Propose
A Man's Point of View

by Dave Shultz

Asia, the Far East. Known throughout history as a mysterious and romantic destination for adventurous travelers. Thanks to the Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bali, it's still romantic but no longer quite as mysterious. The hotel chain has introduced the “Proposal Experience” packages to make “popping the question” as momentous as the wedding itself.

Each Proposal Experience includes:

  • Round-trip limousine transfers
  • A magical setting for the engagement moment
  • A romantic dinner for two
  • A commemorative framed photo of the once-in-a-lifetime occasion

Each hotel has tailored its package to highlight the property’s special ambience. Dedicated Romance Concierge tailor the Proposal Experience to the couple’s special preferences, from a satin pillow holding the ring, to amorous aromatherapy candles, photo displays of the couple’s history, or family “waiting in the wings” to join the celebration moment of the bride-to-be’s acceptance. Each Proposal Experience package includes the option for an overnight stay.
