Turtle Creek Chorale's "Antiques to Zebras": World Tour Auction

Set for Thursday, May 31, 2001

The Turtle Creek Chorale's "Antiques to Zebras" Auction in Dallas, Texas, has become one of the annual rites of spring. The extravaganza for this year is titled "World Tour" and is set for Thursday, May 31, from 5:30 to 10:30 pm at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.

auctionThe Chorale's Auction is known for the quality of its merchandise including fine art, antiques, travel and related items, home furnishings, apparel, restaurant meals and professional services, and offers more than $200,000 in goods and services (retail value). "Given our theme this year, the auction is sure to be a shopper's paradise," according to auction Co-Chair Ken Morris.

Among the exciting items available in the live and silent auctions are first class airfare certificate on American Airlines within the 48 continental U.S., $1,000.00 gift certificate from Neiman Marcus, an incredible original artwork on canvas especially created for the Auction by local artist Luis Sottil, artwork by the Russian artist Robert Rauschenberg and many other services, restaurant offers and furniture.

"The Meyerson will be decorated as different locations around the globe," says Fred Johnson, co-chair. "The evening will also include an open bar and we will have an international flavor to the entertainment in keeping with the theme." Tickets are $30 at the door. The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center is located at 2301 Flora Street, Dallas, TX 75201 and valet parking is available for an additional fee.
