A Taste of Paris is Coming to Dallas

By Madelyn Miller

The much anticipated "Paris Vendome" is scheduled to open on Thursday,
March 14, 2002.  The brassiere is owned and operated by Mico Rodriguez's "Restaurant Life" which also owns and operates The Mercury, The Mercury Grill, and Citizen. Executive Chef-Partner Chris Ward, with his classic French culinary training, will dictate the authentic French Cuisine featured at the brassiere.  Only the premium products and finest ingredients will be utilized to wow the citizens of this hip and new urban environment.

Dallas design team, Zero 3, as well as Rodriguez have made multiple trips to Paris to ensure the capturing of an authentic French brassiere with an updated and modern accentuation.  The full service restaurant will feature three dining venues. The Bar will feature a large semi circular bar and banquettes upholstered in antique tapestry and tables for casual dining.  Honey, ox blood and deep golden hues, tall ceilings and an art deco motif will enhance the ambiance.  The Bar will also feature oversized mirrors and columns clad with imported antique mirror tile with bronze accents.  The artwork will be vintage advertising billets purchased on one recent trip to Paris.

The Main Dining Room, deemed "Retro Glamorous", will feature lambskin banquettes, lamented dining tables and reproduction Adolph Loos' bentwood chairs.  Large mirrors, silver leafed columns and 20's Cubist artwork will adorn the impressive Main Dining Room.  There will also be an additional dining alcove, which has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pet friendly outdoor dining esplanade, which will serve a pre theater lighter fare.

The hours of operation are from 11:00am to 11:00pm daily.  The Bar will stay open late nightly.
