Purr-Fect Pet Friendly Packages

Whether it’s doggie day care, gourmet “snausages” and biscuits at turndown, or even sessions with a pet masseuse therapist, Kimpton Group hotels make traveling convenient, friendly and fun for pet-owners-on-the-road.

Pet companions – doggies, kitties, birdies, or any other furry friends – should always be accompanied by their owner while in the hotel and be appropriately contained while snoozin’ in the room.  In some cases, guests may need to sign a pet agreement, in addition to paying a refundable deposit or minimal fee upon check-in.  The following hotels offer a variety of Pet-Friendly Packages or special pet amenities:

Washington, D.C.

Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City – Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City’s “All dogs go to seven…Cats to eleven” package offers its fine furry friends a water bowl and special welcome treats upon arrival to the hotel for no additional charge.  As part of its “Guppy Love” program, the weary traveler is lonely no more.

Summit Lodge – Pets staying at the Summit Lodge can help other furry friends with the unique W.A.G. Package.  The cost of the package is $15 per day, of which $5 of this cost will be donated to local animal shelter W.A.G. (Whistler Animals Galore). Serrano Hotel – Special pet amenities include designer water and doggie dessert treats, in addition to an ample supply of disposable clean-up bags.  The hotel’s bell staff will also take dogs on a personal walking tour of the City (appointments should be made 24 hours in advance). Upon check-in, hotel guests are invited to take part in the “Check-In Challenge.”  The front desk will challenge the guest to engage in a game of blackjack, and if the guest wins, they’ll receive one prize of the day.  In the case that the front desk wins, guests are then invited to make a donation to the San Francisco SPCA.  Pets are limited to 25 pounds or at the general manager’s discretion. Alexis Hotel – For $25, the Alexis Hotel’s Deluxe Doggie Upgrade package is available to all members of the canine species and includes a keepsake water bowl and distilled water during the stay, complimentary dog treats, as well as a copy of the Three Dog Bakery cookbook, a designer doggie bed, and morning and afternoon walks by Alexis Hotel bellman.  For guests who are busy with work or play, the hotel can arrange for dog-sitting services and a personalized doggie itinerary, designed to keep any pooch happy while their owner is away.  Additional fees apply for these services and vary based on need.  In addition to the upgrade, a “Doggie In-Room Dining Service Menu” is available upon request, as well as private sessions with an animal psychologist, masseuse, acupuncturist, or groomer - all specializing in pet treatments.
