Spa Blue

A Personal Refuge

The Inn at Loretto, a Noble House Hotel, located in the heart of Santa Fe, announces the addition of a new full-service spa opening mid-June 2002. Spa Blue at Loretto is the fourth spa in the Noble House Hotels and Resorts collection of properties. Spa Blue rejuvenates the mind, body and soul as east meets southwest with exotic Indonesian and Thai rituals as well as signature indigenous treatments.

Guests at the Inn at Loretto and local residents can escape from every day life into a soothing spa sanctuary. The spa features warm earth tones with honey stained wood floors made of eastern white pine, cream and terracotta diamond faux finished adobe walls, and amber crystal beaded sconces. A candlelit fireplace and traditional southwestern banco seats create an inviting reception area. Treatment rooms carry the same warm color hues and natural textures, and feature beautifully carved cabinetry. Deep claw-footed porcelain tubs, fireplaces and original hand woven accent fabrics enhance the mystique of Spa Blue.

The spa offers five treatment havens, designed for individual and couples massage, facials, manicures and pedicures, as well as a wet room with Vichy shower. Private, in-room massage treatments are also available to guests of the hotel.

“Spa Blue at Loretto is a personal refuge for relaxation and renewal,” says Dan Pierotti, Corporate Spa Director for Noble House Hotels and Resorts. “We wanted to blend together the harmony of eastern philosophy with the spiritual beauty of Santa Fe to create an enriching cross-cultural experience.”

The signature Javanese Lulur Royal Treatment, a regal ritual that begins with a Balinese massage using Jasmine Frangipani scented flower oil, and followed by a lulur exfoliation to lightly color and scent the skin. Next, a splash of yogurt is gently applied. A scented shower, a soak in a luxurious tub infused with fragrant rose petals and finish with a moisturizing Jasmine Frangipani lotion transcends you to nirvana. Another notable treatment is the Balinese massage, which offers a selection of beautifully fragrant oils, and combines a variety of techniques and tempos of acupressure, rolling
motion, long strokes and percussion to invigorate the muscles, and significantly increase blood circulation.

Unique, indigenous treatments at Spa Blue include, the Desert Heat Wrap, which is a Native American potent healing wrap, and includes a mineral-rich, self-heating adobe clay applied to the body, followed by a light thermal wrap, and rinsed by an invigorating Vichy shower, finishing with a moisturizing lotion, leaving the skin hydrated and toned. The Native Desert Sage Massage is a mood-enhancing massage that enlightens the senses and lifts the spirit. It begins with a gentle exfoliating body polish of sage and rosemary, followed with a massage utilizing a unique and rare desert sage oil blend. The exotic and indigenous fragrance will leave your mind stimulated and your body invigorated.

Spa Blue operates daily, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in season (June through September), and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. off season (October through May).  For appointments or more information, call (505) 984.7997.
