Old Santa Fe Inn

Grand Opening Travel Package

The Old Santa Fe Inn, a charming new 43 room Inn - including 12 suites - nestled in the heart of historic Santa Fe has been opened by a fourth-generation New Mexico family who knows the meaning of hospitality, Santa Fe-style.  And The Old Santa Fe Inn represents hospitality with superb value.

The Old Santa Fe Inn is owned by the Laughlin Barker family, descendants of NB. Laughlin, the territorial Judge of New Mexico in 1894.  Laughlin Barker's mother Ruth Laughlin was the author of Caballeros and The Wind Leaves No Shadow. Today the Barker family is extensively involved in real estate ownership and management in Santa Fe.

The Old Santa Fe Inn captures that feeling of hospitality from a simpler time.  A slower pace….a more peaceful time….a time when artists and writers were just discovering the charm of The City Different.

The Old Santa Fe Inn is located only five blocks southwest of the historic Santa Fe Plaza, only a pleasant stroll to the best of what Santa Fe has to offer, including more than seventy-five diverse and splendid restaurants, several museums, and scores of uncommon shops and galleries.   Just a stone's throw away visit the famous Loretto Chapel with its miraculous staircase, the San Miguel Mission, the oldest church in the United States, and the Palace of the Governors, the oldest governmental building in the United States.

Most rooms feature a kiva-style fireplace, and many have a private balcony or patio area.  Suites are quite spacious, with separate living areas, jetted tubs, and microwaves and refrigerators.  The Inn can accommodate a family reunion, wedding, or group meeting with its large meeting room, and the suites are perfect for a longer-term stay in Santa Fe with extended-stay rates.

Specials include a 4th night free offer, complimentary gift basket with a sampling of New Mexico Wine, or 3rd night half off when the first 2 are purchased at the standard rate.

The Grand Opening will be held at the Old Santa Fe Inn, located at 320 Galisteo St. from 2-5 on July 3rd, 2002. The public us invited to come see this beautiful property, visit with friends, listen to music, and grab a bite to eat- and help us celebrate this joyous occasion.

"It's hard to imagine a more romantic setting for a couple in Santa Fe", says Tara Levine-Chadwell, Director of Sales and Marketing for The Old Santa Fe Inn.  "The warmth and colorful history of Santa Fe is reflected in The Old Santa Fe Inn.  The guestrooms are furnished with furniture hand-made by local craftsmen, and fabrics and rugs have been patterned from the Museum of New Mexico's collection of local antique furniture and textiles.  Local artist Willard Clark's woodcuts decorate the walls and refer to his heyday…a simpler time when noteworthy artists and writers were first enchanted with Santa Fe.

We want to make more people aware of this haven in the heart of Old Santa Fe  Our price structure is affordable and we invite everyone to come to Santa Fe and enjoy our hospitality without breaking the bank."

Parking is free.  Some limitations apply, and visitors are urged to call in advance for reservations.
