Thanksgiving Nevisian Style

This November Montpelier Plantation Inn in Nevis is inviting guests to experience Thanksgiving, Nevisian-style. 

From November 27 December 1, 2002, Montpelier Plantation Inn will be offering a special Thanksgiving Package including four nights accommodation, breakfast and afternoon tea daily, dinner each night including a special Thanksgiving dinner on November 28th with turkey, all the trimmings including pumpkin pie, plus local specialties.  The package also includes a beach BBQ picnic the day after Thanksgiving featuring the Inn s special pig roast. 

Thanksgiving dinner will be served at the Terrace on the Western Veranda, the Inn s open-air fine dining restaurant.  If you have a group greater than six, the grand round table in the Bamboo Ballroom provides the ideal setting for a private party.   

The package is priced at $300 per night based on double occupancy, excluding tax and service. The package must be booked by November 1, 2002, and additional nights are available for $240 per night including breakfast and afternoon tea. 

Nestled in the hills of Nevis Peak, with panoramic vistas open to the sea, Montpelier is a 17-room boutique inn and historic sugar plantation.  An idyllic escape, Montpelier Plantation Inn offers the personalized service, warm hospitality and luxury amenities that one would expect at a grand country house.  One of a select few properties recommended in Conde Nast Johansens 2003 Guide to North American Hotels, Inns and Resorts, the Inn features a two staff per room ratio, two gourmet restaurants overseen by six chefs (three Nevisian and three European), two bars, a 60-foot mosaic tiled freshwater pool, 30-acres of landscaped tropical gardens, tennis court with complimentary equipment, private two-acre beach with daily shuttle service, internet access from the reception area, and seasonal live entertainment.  The Sugar Shop, a gift shop offering one-of-a-kind locally and internationally made art and home furnishings will open in December 2002.  A host of activities including golf, horseback riding, sailing, deep sea fishing, and nature walks through the rainforest are nearby and can be arranged by the Inn (additional cost).

Housed in eight villas and affording spectacular views of the sea and surrounding countryside, the Inn s sixteen cottage rooms and one suite feature the finest Porthault linens, two double or king bed including canopy or four poster beds, louvered windows, a private veranda, ceiling fan, direct dial telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, in-room safe and private bathroom with hair dryer.  The suite also features a separate sitting room with a sofabed.
