In just five years since its opening on January 15, 1998, Rough Creek Lodge Executive Retreat & Resort has risen to the top as one of the best resorts in the world. In 2003, Rough Creek Lodge celebrates five unique and memorable years of meetings, fine dining, weekend getaways, weddings, spa services and upland bird hunting. The anniversary year kicks off on January 15 with a special flag-raising ceremony to commemorate the resort's opening, followed by yearlong celebration of anniversary-related packages and events.

"The best way to show gratitude to our devoted guests is to provide them with packages loaded with tremendous amenities and value. After all, this is what we're all about," explains General Manager Paul Boccafogli. "Since opening our doors five years ago, our number one goal has been to provide the best possible service and value with the finest details - but to make it appear seamless and effortless to our guests."

The commemorative 2003 packages include:

5th Anniversary Celebrations

$200 per couple per night, plus tax and gratuity

All couples celebrating their fifth anniversaries in January 2003 are invited to be special guests of Rough Creek Lodge. This anniversary package, available during the month of January only, includes deluxe accommodations for one night, breakfast for two, welcome bottle of champagne and fresh berries and a special Fifth Anniversary gift.

Year-long Anniversary Package:

$459 per couple, per night, plus tax and gratuity

For a special weekend getaway, all couples can take advantage of this romantic package throughout 2003. This includes deluxe accommodations for one night, special Fifth Anniversary chef's tasting menu, breakfast for two, welcome bottle of champagne and seasonal berries and a special fifth anniversary gift.

RCL Special: All guests who stay overnight during 2003 will receive $25 credit to be used when they return within 90 days of their original departure. This credit may be applied towards all services, including accommodations, dining and even the gift shop.

Chef's Anniversary Menu: Rough Creek's first employee - Executive Chef Gerard Thompson has created a truly special menu featuring his signature dishes and drinks. This special Chef's menu is available to all guests for $75.

Anniversary Hunt Package: Two or more hunters will receive Rough Creek's Anniversary Hunt for $799 per hunter during the week, and $899 per hunter, Friday afternoon through Sunday morning. This is a tremendous savings of up to 25 percent off the regular weekday and weekend rates. One of Rough Creek's most popular hunt packages, this hunt includes an overnight stay in Deluxe accommodations, two mixed bag hunts and three meals prepared by award-winning Chef Gerard Thompson.

Employee Celebration

In honor of its fifth anniversary, Rough Creek Lodge is recognizing its five-year employees with the presentation of special hand-made, embroidered pillows. These pillows are displayed in the resort's Great Room. When a guest is seated in one of the high-back leather dining room chairs, a pillow will be offered as support.

The first pillow has already been awarded to the resort's first employees' - Executive Chef Gerard Thompson, who was hired in October 1997, General Manager Paul Boccafogli and Resident Manager Frank Alvarez, who were both hired in November 1997.
