Sometimes when you travel, everything goes Wrong

By Madelyn Miller

We all have travel traumas. Trips were everything seems to go wrong. Bad weather. Late planes. Crazy schedules. Grumpy front desk agents. Less than perfect rooms.

On those days, I will always think of the Westin Tabor Center where everything seems to go right. From friendly, helpful staff to perfectly appointed rooms, each aspect of the guest experience is a ten.

I am a critic. I am spoiled. So it is hard to please me. But even when I thought I had caught the Westin Tabor Center in a mistake, I was wrong. Someone had sent me a lovely cheese tray, but I had eaten a large dinner at the Palm Restaurant downstairs, so I saved it for an early evening snack the next day. Lo and behold, when I returned, the beautiful cheese tray was gone. How could the maid have cleared it I wondered, since it was still wrapped?

When I called down to ask about it, the gracious front desk person said they wanted to send me another one since it was their policy to clear food that was a day old.
