Scuba Certification Package
Radisson Kauai Beach Resort
The Radisson Kauai Beach Resort, a deluxe hotel located
on a three-mile stretch of beach on Kauai’s “Coconut Coast,” has introduced
a unique new package designed for travelers who want to explore the undersea
world in Kauai’s tropical waters and obtain their scuba certification. In
conjunction with Wet-N-Wonderful Ocean Sports Inc., the resort now offers
the Kauai Scuba Adventure Package, combining hotel accommodations and
amenities with a scuba certification program for novice divers.
The Kauai Scuba Adventure Package includes five nights
accommodations in a Deluxe Pool View room, a PADI scuba certification
program for two people, airport shuttle transportation to and from the
hotel, invitation to a nightly Manager’s Cocktail Party, nightly
torchlighting ceremony and Polynesian dance show, and complimentary tennis
on the hotel’s four courts. The five-night package is priced at $1,195 for
two people and is valid for travel through December 20, 2004. The package
price is based on double occupancy and is subject to applicable taxes. Full
payment is required 7 days prior to arrival, and the package cannot be
combined with any other discount or special offer. The Kauai Scuba Adventure
Package is based on availability, and all rules and regulations stipulated
by Wet-N-Wonderful Ocean Sports Inc. apply.
Wet-N-Wonderful opened on Kauai in 1986 and specializes
in first-time dive experiences. The company provides scuba training and
certification at all levels, but also offers a range of other scuba
services, including shore dives for certified divers. The PADI Certification
Course offered on the Kauai Scuba Adventure Package lasts 3 to 5 days and
includes an introductory ocean dive, instruction and study based on the
PADI open water manual, underwater training in a confined area, then four
open water dives. A satisfactory score on the 50-question final exam is
required in order to obtain a PADI Open Water Certification.
The Radisson Kauai Beach Resort is a 25-acre beachfront
property centrally located on Kauai’s eastern shore. The hotel, which
underwent an extensive renovation and redesign in 2000, features 340 rooms,
seven suites, complete meeting and banquet facilities, three restaurants, a
boutique spa and fitness center, tennis courts, and a “super pool” complex:
three swimming pools set amidst waterfalls and grottoes and a fourth pool
featuring a sand bottom. For reservations or more information, call (808)
245-1955 or tollfree 1-800-333-3333. Visit the hotel’s website at
