More than Your Average Walking Tour

Learn the History of Boston While Becoming a Better Photographer

As Boston’s first and only photo tour company, PhotoWalks captures a creative new angle on historic walking tours of the city.  Each tour is presented with historical commentary and simple photographic secrets for composing artistic pictures of Boston’s past and present. The PhotoWalks concept has been very successful with people of all ages, and all skill levels in part because its tours allow visitors to see the city from a different angle.

PhotoWalks offers four different tours with photo opportunities at Beacon Hill, the Public Garden, along the Freedom Trail and the Waterfront.  Each tour is a fun and unique way to see Boston’s sites and attractions from a unique perspective--with or without a camera.  PhotoWalks tours have inspired locals, tourists, families, and non-photographers alike to explore their photographic abilities creatively and observe details in our surroundings closely.  They also gain knowledge on creative photography techniques and Boston’s history at the same time.

Saba, your guide, once worked as a travel agent. Choosing a career that satisfied her passionate interests in photography and travel, for eight years she had a fabulous time traveling around the world and taking pictures. She then decided to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming an entrepreneur.  As a photographer with an eye for details, Saba has over ten years of experience photographing exotic travel destinations, weddings, children and portraits.

One day while walking through the Boston Common and photographing the city scenes around her, inspiration struck! “What if I mix photography and  tours of Boston together?” What sounded like a good idea eventually became a business.  Since then, PhotoWalks has received extensive media coverage as Boston's first and only Photo Tour Company and is a proud member of the Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Each tour costs $25 for adults and $12 for youth 10-17.  All walking tours include one copy of PhotoWalks Guide to Creative Photography.  Group rates are available for 10 or more people participating on a tour together.
