Follow the Birds!

Fly South to Belize for the Winter

It’s no secret that as the weather turns cold in North America, “snowbirds” look for warmer climates to spend the winter months. Why let the birds have all the fun? With warm temperatures, beautiful landscapes and pristine blue waters, Belize is the perfect destination to escape the harsh winter months. Amidst breathtaking Mayan ruins, white sandy beaches and rainforests, Belize truly offers something for everyone. Whether the adventurer, honeymooner, diver or the average traveler simply in search of a beautiful sunset, Belize has a vacation package to fit.  Here are three winter package deal examples:

Ambergris Caye

Belize’s luxury resort, Victoria House, located on Ambergris Caye, is a complete and total retreat, free from the boundaries and pressures of day-to-day life and renowned as one of the best bare-foot resorts in the region. Nestled among tall swaying palms on white sand beaches with an ambiance of relaxation, privacy and casual elegance - the resort offers all the services of a luxury hotel without the formalities.

Surrounded by ten acres of tropical flowers and fauna are Plantation rooms and suites, charming Palapa Casitas and three private Villa's, all fully air-conditioned and most with beach views. A lovely beachfront swimming pool is the perfect gathering place to relax, indulge in a fresh seafood lunch and soak up some island sunshine. They also have reef and fly-fishing guides and incredible Belize diving and snorkeling experiences.

Victoria House offers an “Island Romance Package” created for couples to celebrate that special occasion whether it is a honeymoon, an anniversary, a birthday or just a celebration of life with someone you love!  It includes round trip air transportation for two from Philip Godson International Airport in Belize City to San Pedro Town, welcome cocktails and daily continental breakfasts and dinners.

Upon arrival, guests will indulge in a romantic sunset sail along Ambergris Caye complete with a complimentary bottle of chilled champagne.  In addition, guests receive a golf cart for a day to explore the town of San Pedro, a snorkel trip to Shark Ray Alley and the pristine Hol Chan Marine Reserve, as well as a boat trip up the jungle river, which leads to the ancient Mayan site of Altun Ha. The package is available for five or seven nights and priced per couple.
