Hong Kong’s First Lifestyle Concept Boutique

KOU, a unique lifestyle boutique designed in the style of a luxurious mansion brings a new and exciting concept in shopping to Hong Kong. The 5,000 square foot retail boutique in Hong Kong’s Central district offers a glamorous new shopping experience for those seeking innovative ideas for home décor and personal style.

Entering KOU is like going into someone’s chic and stylish home, except that everything you see in the “mansion” from floor to ceiling is for sale.

The open floor plan of the entrance level of KOU showcases the lounge, dining area, kitchen and outdoor patio in a palette of aubergine and silver. Then guests walk down the inner staircase into the warm reds and browns of the library and bedroom with ensuite bath and walk-in closet. Sweeping views of the harbor complement the interior design elements.

In the lounge, paintings, sculptures, rugs and furniture - either custom designed or hand picked, new or antiques - are all on display. The dining area showcases KOU’s themed table settings, including the best European tableware and flatware. In the kitchen, high quality cookware and kitchen accessories can be found.

Strolling down the staircase and into the library, guests will find the shelves laden with books from Taschen.  In the bedroom, the linens and towels to the bed frame itself are all available for purchase; while the bathroom displays spa and bath products. The walk-in closet and accessory room, where a selection of the season’s must-have mix-and-match items are displayed, will please discerning hoppers. These niche fashion items are sourced from around the world and will change with the season as well as the social calendar. And, don’t forget to take a peek in the lingerie drawer!

KOU is the creation of Hong Kong-based lifestyle guru and interior designer, Ms. Louise Kou, also known to her friends as Lu Kou. With the opening of KOU, she combines her talents for innovative interior design concepts with insights into the global fashion industry gained while in top management positions at some of the world’s leading luxury fashion brands.

KOU offers interior design ideas, exotic home furnishings and fashion accessories hand picked from around the world which can either be purchased piece by piece, or as an entire design concept. KOU’s expert Lifestyle Consultants will also be on hand to assist customers at every step of the way by offering both interior design ideas and fashion suggestions.

Lu Kou’s full service interior design and personal styling consultancy, KouConcepts, which has designed the homes of Hong Kong socialites and business professionals, will also operate from the new boutique.

KOU is located in the heart of Central Hong Kong, just steps away from The Landmark, on the 22nd Floor of Fung House, 19-20 Connaught Road.

KOU is open for retail sales to the public from Monday to Saturday between 11:00 am and 9:00 pm.
