Cell Phone Problems SOLVED

Edited by Jennifer L. Price

Have you ever had any of these problems?:

  • My phone was washed with my clothes! Will it still work?

  • Can my cell unlock a car door? Unknown benefits revealed!

  • What other little known capabilities does my phone have?

  • I lost my phonebook, that's my entire life! Can I get it back?

  • The battery doesn't charge anymore!  How long should a battery last?

In a new e-book by Jennifer O’Connell, who has over 12 years in marketing and product development for major wireless companies such as Verizon and Cingular/AT&T, shares some of her knowledge (and solves those problems).  She knows the ins and outs of mobile phone technology and reveals them in The Cell Phone Decoder Ring.

Here are just a few of the helpful etiquette tips revealed:

  • When you’re watching a movie, it’s only natural that you become absorbed in what’s happening. A phone that’s ringing will quickly snap you back to reality unnecessarily. Either turn your phone off or change the ringer to “silent” when in a movie theater. By the way, “vibrate” is just as annoying as hearing your ringer since it still makes a sound. We can still hear it.

  • If I have to hear your ringtone, at least make it a good one. Lousy ring tones are very annoying and can be embarrassing for those who selected it. There are plenty of good ones out there to download.

  • Don’t leave your phone to ring unattended. You may not hear it when you step away, but we do. And we know how long it rings as well – in fact, I’ve started humming your ringtone as I fall asleep at night. Save those around you by keeping your phone with you or turning the volume to low so it won’t bother folks when you’re not there to answer it.

  • For fun, you can issue a cell phone citation, a pad of paper that looks like a traffic ticket for wrongful cell phone violators. You can find the “citations” online or at novelty shops. Have fun while making your point – and avoid being rude yourself!
