Family Fun at Kapalua Bay Hotel
Two complimentary one-hour golf clinics are offered each week for keiki (“children”) at the Kapalua Golf Academy, then kids can join Mom or Dad on Kapalua’s spectacular Village Course. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, a free round is offered for children accompanied by a paying adult (one child per adult). Complimentary tennis clinics are offered twice a week to children, as well as discounts on racquet and shoe rentals. The Tennis Garden, adjacent to the Kapalua Bay Hotel, features 10 courts for day and night play and a full-service tennis shop. The Kapalua Bay Hotel is situated on beautiful Kapalua Bay, named “America’s Best Beach,” offering a variety of ocean activities including sensational snorkeling. The Kapalua Keiki Club summer program offers free snorkel equipment for children accompanied by an adult paying regular rental rates for an all-day mask and snorkel rental. Rounding out the summer program, a complimentary “Paint Your Own Ceramic” session at the Art School at Kapalua and a free Maui Pineapple Plantation Tour are offered to children accompanied by paying adults. Throughout the year, Kapalua Bay Hotel offers great
activities and values for families. The year-round Keiki Day Program is offered for children ages 5 to 10. The supervised program takes place daily at The Art School at Kapalua, located just two minutes from the hotel. Activities are designed to encourage children’s own creativity, introducing them to the beauty of the islands and the world of art. The program varies daily and may include such activities as yoga for kids, arts and crafts lessons, nature walks and other outdoor excursions. Cost for the Keiki Day Program is $60 per day per child, and a 24-hour advance reservation is required. For teens and preteens, age 11 through 16, the Adventure Seven Program offers a variety of activities seven days a week. The day starts with an excursion to Kapalua Bay, where participants are first taught ocean safety by a lifeguard and then enjoy a morning of ocean and beach play; or participants may opt to go horseback riding, take a surfing lesson or go kayaking and snorkeling at nearby Honolua Bay for an additional fee. Afternoon activities take place at The Art School at Kapalua, featuring hands-on arts and crafts. Cost for the Adventure Seven Program is $60 per child per day ($90 for the horseback riding option; $70 for the surfing or kayaking/snorkeling options.) The program requires a 24-hour advance reservation.
