Hot Music and Cool Jazz during the 2005 5th Annual Salt Lake City International Jazz

This summer the Grand & Little America Hotels will host
some of the most acclaimed jazz musicians during the Fifth Annual Salt Lake City
International Jazz Festival, July 8-10, 2005. For three hot days and nights, the
hotels will feature cool jazz performances including late night jazz acts by
renowned artists Barbara Morrison, Spanky Wilson, Jack Wood and Kathy Kosins, as
well as an Outdoor Pool Party featuring headliner Cold Blood.
The Grand and Little America Hotels are conveniently
located just one block away from the festivals two main stages at Washington
Square. More than 20 acts will take the stage with a unique collaboration of
music from blues to swing. This year’s headliners include the rhythm and blues
sounds by Cold Blood and Lydia Pense, and one of the most popular swing bands on
the road today, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. Other bands performing include: Gary Bartz,
Eddie Daniels, Freddie Hubbard Octet, Peter Erskine Trio, Barbara Morrison,
Spanky Wilson, Kathy Kuzins, The Clayton Brothers and The Horn Heads.

Groove to the sounds of Fat Soul with David Halliday’s
unique blends of jazz and blues at Buckets, Blues and Brews on the Garden
Café Terrace at the Grand from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Relax to the soulful rhythm of the Spanky Wilson
Quintet in the Grand America Jazz Lounge from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. The
Grand Salon will be transformed into Salt Lake’s hip new lounge for an after
hours steamy jazz performance.

Kathy Kosins Quintet featuring Herschel Bullen will
offer cool eclectic vocals while guests enjoy a special cocktail and
appetizer menu at the Little America Steakhouse “After Hours” from 10:30
p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Saturday, July 9th

You won’t want to miss headliner Cold Blood and Lydia
Pense performing live at Grand America’s Outdoor Pool Party. Guests can
enjoy a specialty island drink menu and appetizers while savoring the
ambience of Grand America’s luxurious Outdoor Pool terrace from 5:00 p.m. to
8:00 p.m.

You’ll want to get up and dance when you hear the
high-energy music from the Barbara Morrison Quintet at the Grand America
Jazz Lounge in the Grand Salon from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Little America Steakhouse sizzles “After Hours” with
Jack Wood from 10:00 p.m. to midnight. A menu of hot new Cajun inspired
appetizers and specialty cocktails will be offered.
Sunday, July 10th
For the perfect jazz weekend getaway, guests can enjoy
five-diamond accommodations at the Grand America, breath-taking mountain views
and sounds of jazz echoing through downtown with the Jazz Festival Package. The
package includes accommodations in a luxurious suite, breakfast buffet,
admission to jazz events at The Grand America Hotel, Little America Hotel, and
Washington Square. *Rate is $247 based on single occupancy and $295 for
double occupancy per night. Package is available Thursday, July 7th – Sunday,

Little America Hotel will offer special jazz festival
weekend rates including $119 for a Tower Room, $99 for a Garden Room and $85 for
