The Anguilla Tourist Board has announced that the Tranquility Jazz Festival will take place November 9-13, 2005. In its third year, the Tranquility Jazz Festival will bring together some of the most respected names in the jazz world today to perform at a selection of special venues across the island. The event is being produced by BET Event Productions, the production company owned by BET Jazz.

Tickets are $50.00 per person (does not include dinner at Cuisinart Resort), per performance, and there is a combined $90 pass for Friday and Saturday performances. Air and hotel packages are available through Apel International Travel starting at $914.00 per person based on double occupancy including roundtrip air via American Airlines from New York City, three nights at Rendezvous Bay Hotel & Villas, tickets for all festival concerts, taxes and service charges. Special three and seven night hotel only packages are also available starting at $168.00 per person based on double occupancy (including tax and service charges) for three nights at the Rendezvous Bay Hotel & Villas to $3,129.00 for seven nights in a one-bedroom luxury villa at Covecastles. The Tranquility Jazz Festival
has carved a unique place for itself among all the other music festivals
produced by BET Event Productions. In 2003, the festival launched with renowned
jazz performers who included legend James Moody and prodigy Eric Reed as
headliners. Within two years, it has become the Caribbean's Jazz event most
demanded and respected by U.S. jazz journalists. 
The schedule includes a
performance by Marlena Shaw at the elegant Cuisinart Resort and Spa on Thursday
evening, November 10th with a special dinner set. On Sunday, November 13th the
popular “Jazz on the Beach” performance returns to Johnno’s Beach Stop in Sandy
Ground from 12 noon until…The complimentary performance is the perfect
opportunity to jazz it up on the beach, Anguillian style, as you soak up the sun
and get into the mood for one of Anguilla’s spectacular sunsets.
