Never Leave Home Without It
Travelers Need Not Fear Gamers’ Withdrawal Again!
By Marilyn Loeser
Some
things never change.
Like all three of my adult children still play video games.
When they were little, Santa Claus often brought them new
gaming systems for Christmas and individually their favorite games.
From its beginnings 40 years ago, the world of gaming has
gone from the arcade to nearly every American with a computer, cell phone or
gaming system.
Not only has the availability and technology multiplied
over the decades, systems like Game Boy and Wii are so small, they’re easy to
take along to the office or on-the-road.
In
turn, companies like Atlantic, Inc. — a leading manufacturer and distributor of
media storage products — is now offering travel products for virtually every
video game system.
One of Atlantic, Inc. travel-products is the Ultimate
Gaming Backpack.
Compatible for GameCube, Xbox and Xbox 360, PlayStation,
PS2 and PS3, Wii, Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis, the
backpack has nooks and crannies for everything associated with the system.
And,
the backpack is plug-and-play capable. Players open the back panel for full
access to all the systems connections. Side vents unzip for ventilation.
Velcro straps help organize wires; pockets provide a place
for strategy guides and gaming magazines; and an accessory pocket is perfect for
storing other items.
The company’s new GameKeeper line also features gameSEAL, a
portable gaming case for gamers-on-the-go.
The waterproof gameSEAL case is available in two different
versions: one for Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) and the other for Nintendo
DS/DS Lite. Made with a specially-designed silicone sealing gasket and
snap-locking latch, the case provides a secure watertight seal to protect
gamers’ portable game consoles, games and accessories.
Atlantic,
Inc. also offers a Gaming Travel Hard Case which is a compact steel traveling
case with cushioned interior that protects a variety of gaming gear, including a
game console, charger, game cartridges and earphones.
Gaming on Wheels stores all gaming essentials for easy
transport of consoles and games. It’s made of rugged, lightweight aluminum, with
pull-out handles and luggage-quality casters for smooth transportation.
The Roll Up Player Case is designed to store, organize and
transport Sony PSP or Nintendo DS consoles and accessories and is designed to
provide maximum storage while remaining compact enough to fit in a pocket or
backpack.
On
the home front, the company’s Teen Gaming Center is designed to hold up to a
20-inch TV, three gaming consoles and four games.. It features removable hooks
for four controllers and other gaming essentials, such as headphones and wires.
Vents allow for long-term usage without heating up the consoles. Wire management
in the back of the unit allows for quick hookup while keeping wires organized.
The Four-Tier Gaming Tower accommodates up to four game
consoles, four controllers and 40 games for home storage. Hooks keep
controllers, earphones and wires off the floor and casters with locks make
moving the unit around the house and clean up easy.
Travel and home organizational and storage units run from
$9.99 to $89.99.
