With Hair that Looks like a Bird’s Nest, Vince Vance is the Perfect Performer for the Arboreteum

Edited by Madelyn Miller, the TravelLady

This songbird doesn’t just sing, he comes complete with a bird’s nest.

You can see and hear him soon in Dallas.

With 18-inches of vertical hairdo, Vince Vance makes Lyle Lovett look normal.  Add the vivacious Valiantettes girls trio - Velicity, Vixie and Vandy - to a 15-member band and you have a hilarious evening of family entertainment.

ARBORETUM'S COOL THURSDAYS CONCERT ROCKS ON WITH
VINCE VANCE AND THE VALIANTS

Extend the Fourth of July holiday with The Dallas Arboretum's Cool Thursdays Concert Series presentation of "the ultimate party band" on Thursday, July 5.

Vince Vance and the Valiants are favorites of Dallas Arboretum concert-goers. The performance begins at 7:30pm; gates open at 6pm.

Besides rock and roll classics, Vince plays some of his own hits; meanwhile the Valiantettes coax members of the audience onto the stage. Amazingly, Vince portrays a dozen characters in 90 raucous minutes.

In partnership with the Dallas Arboretum, eatZi's Market and Bakery will provide a variety of foods available for purchase. Food may also be preordered by contacting eatZi's directly at (214) 528-6100 or by visiting their website at www.eatzis.com.

The performance will take place on the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens' Martin Rutchik Concert Stage and Lawn at 8525 Garland Road, on the southeastern shore of White Rock Lake.

Tickets are $16 and $7 for children 3- 12. Tickets for Arboretum members and their children are $6. Seating is limited and concert-goers are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at dallasarboretum.org or in person daily at the main gate between 9am and 5pm. Discounts are available for groups of 20 or more; call (214) 515-6519.

For a complete list of upcoming performances and events call (214) 515-6518 or visit www.dallasarboretum.org.
