The Chateau de la Messardiere will re-open for the 2006
season on March 23 with recent renovations and distinctive activities catering
to the tastes of discerning travelers who want more than the typical glitz and
glamour of the famous harbor of St. Tropez. Perched on a hilltop amid 25 acres
of pine forests and gardens, the hotel offers magnificent views over the Bay of
St. Tropez, the vineyards of Ramatuelle and the renowned Pampelonne beaches, all
just minutes away.
The hotel has been a favorite of celebrities and
international jetsetters since opening in 1993 after the restoration of this
elegant 19th century chateau. As a testament to the allure of the refined
lifestyle at Chateau de la Messardiere, the general manager Gerald Hardy
estimates that close to 50% of his guests are repeat visitors. In order to keep
things fresh for all of these returning friends, Gerald Hardy requires that at
least 20 of the 116 rooms and suites are completely renovated each season and
new touches are continually added to the public areas (fitness room, salon and
restaurant).
Each of the hotel's 40 suites and 76 rooms have either
balconies or private terraces and are decorated in elegant Tuscan style in
soothing orange and yellow tones and feature four poster beds, luxurious linens,
sumptuous baths including double sinks and whirlpool tubs and a selection of
L'Occitane en Provence beauty products. Gerald Hardy is also now working with
several partners in the region to create unique experiences for his visitors.
