Travel Divas Offer Luxury Travel Options
New travel company offers upscale, authentic
travel
experiences for gay, lesbian, and gay-friendly clientele
With the trend of niche marketing on the rise, Travel
Divas, a new company dedicated to providing upscale, authentic travel
experiences for gay, lesbian and gay-friendly clientele, offers the perfect
solution for the luxury travel seeker. The Miami-based company has slated
its first trip to Mykonos in May 2004.
"Until now, there hasn't been one company completely
dedicated to offering upscale travel experiences that target the gay,
lesbian, and the gay-friendly market segment in one mixed environment," said
Annette Hogan, co-founder of Travel Divas.
As one of the country's leading experts on gay and
lesbian travel, Hogan has held key positions with Royal Caribbean Cruises,
Ltd., American Airlines and other multinational companies. She and
co-founder Valerie Athans-Papaioannou created the Travel Divas concept after
years of traveling together; Hogan with her life partner and
Athans-Papaioannou with her husband. Mykonos was the two couples first trip
together.
Blending decades of experience in the travel industry
with the world's most stellar destinations, Hogan, Athans-Papaioannou and
the Travel Divas team offer travelers the opportunity to see the world from
an entirely new perspective. Designed for the hip, savvy and upscale travel
seeker, each destination and itinerary is carefully researched and guided by
the team. Each vacation also features add-on options of varying length to
accommodate every interest level and ensure that the traveler gains the
richest travel experience.
"Finding the perfect resorts and destinations is the
ultimate challenge," said Athans-Papaioannou, a native of the travel
industry. "Our company is about product that delivers the consummate
luxurious experience, ensuring our traveling clientele a comfortable and
memorable travel experience."
The company's first trip is from May 21-29, 2004, to
the Royal Myconian Resort on Mykonos. The brilliant combination of local
island culture and luxury standards make this boutique resort and spa the
gem of the Greek islands. Brand new, the Royal Myconian features traditional
island architecture, private beach, divine service, stylish furnishings and
gourmet Greek cuisine. Trip packages start at $2,990 per person, based on
double occupancy and includes round-trip airfare from New York; seven nights
standard accommodations; daily breakfast; three dinners; tips; ground
transportation to and from arrival and departure points; round-trip sea
transportation between Athens and Mykonos. Room upgrades and suites also
available, as well as business class upgrades and optional add-on cities on
the east and west coasts.
A variety of destinations are in the works for 2004 and
new product is expected to launch in late winter. Travel Divas will begin
taking reservations for Mykonos immediately. The trip runs from May 21-29,
