Do You Didgeridoo?
AustraliaLIFE, the celebratory London event to be held
28th-30th January 2005, will host free lessons to anybody who would like to
try their hand with the Didgeridoo. This lively and entertaining three-day
festival will provide a welcome glimpse of color at a bleak time of year,
offering as it does a chance to taste foods & wines and to discover
something of the travel and intrigue behind the vibrant country of
Australia.
Exhibitors include a host of wineries; Brown Brothers, Nepenthe, Yellowtail,
Wakefield, Penfolds, Wynns, Lindemanns, Rosemount, Cullen Wines, Yalumba,
Peter Lehman, Wolf Blass and Andrew Peace, to name but a few. There will be
also be delicious award winning pasta from Bellata Gold, such as Lemon
Myrtle, Hot Chili, Garlic Basil & Celery.
Organized by the leading magazine, Wine International, AustraliaLIFE takes
place at Lord’s Cricket Ground Nursery Pavilion. A program of Masterclasses
and Theatre workshops will be taking place at which consumers will have the
chance to learn from leading winemakers, producers of indigenous foods,
spices and oils, and hear from Matt Cameron Smith, of Tourism Australia,
about wine trails, sights and adventures. Maybe you would like to hear about
the ‘Viognier Monologues’ from Yalumba winemaker, Jane Ferrari, or learn
about the developments or organic and bio-dynamic wines from Vanya Cullen,
of Cullen Wines, from the Margaret River? The Australian Wine Bureau is also
to host a Masterclass on “New Australian Classics”.
In another special area of the pavilion there will be a whole showcase on
travel opportunities in Australia, with staff on hand from Qantas Holidays
to offer expert advice on tours and independent travel. Touch sensitive
screens will provide glimpses of Australia’s colorful countryside and exotic
landscape, mixed with images of the vibrant city living and sporting life.
On a separate site will also be a restaurant, catered by renowned Australian
chef Scott Webster, of Osia fame.
